Annunciato DCS: F-86F Sabre

E' stato annunciato un nuovo simulatore DCS, stavolta si tratta dell'F86 Sabre, mitico caccia della guerra di Corea, famoso per i duelli aerei contro il MIG15.

Una nuova DLC per Crusader Kings II è stata annunciata dalla Paradox: Rajas of India. Dal nome già si capisce che la mappa sarà ampliata per includere l'India.

Annunciato Scourge of War Waterloo

E vai, finalmente è stata annunciata la prossima incarnazione del motore di Scourge of War:  Scourge of War Waterloo. Finalmente seguendo la grande richiesta dei fans il motore muoverà dai campi della guerra civile a quelli europei di 50 anni prima.

Lo sto guardando adesso io stesso (non che capisca moltissimo dei dettagli, ma ancora non sono arrivato ai punti topici).

Primo Campaign Episode per Arma 3

Bohemian ha annunciato il primo campaign episode per Arma 3, dal titolo "Survive". Nella sostanza sarà un free DLC rilasciato il 31 ottobre.

“Our first campaign episode, ‘Survive’, introduces players to Ben Kerry, a regular soldier who’s part of a NATO peacekeeping mission in the Mediterranean. Following a couple of years of uneasy cease-fire, this US-led deployment is now in the process of a staged drawdown. The vacuum left by withdrawing forces is being rapidly filled by the opposing CSAT faction, creating the conditions for, one might say, a flashpoint”, explains Jay Crowe, Creative Director on Arma 3.

“Of course, it's not just about our own story, but another opportunity to provide yet more building blocks for the platform - new weapons, animations, 3D objects, scripted modules - each designed to grant content creators even greater freedom to create and share their own content. Looking forward to the forthcoming episodes, we’ll continue to expand Arma 3’s sandbox with additions such as new vehicles.”

Arma 3 features the large open terrains of ‘Altis’ (270 km²) and ‘Stratis’ (20 km²), 12 singleplayer showcases, 3 factions showcases, 9 multiplayer scenarios, 10 firing drill challenges, more than 20 vehicles and 40 weapons, 5 factions, the scenario editor and modding support. The singleplayer campaign is deployed across 3 free DLC episodes after release.

Matrix Games and Phobetor are proud to announce the release of Germany at War: Barbarossa 1941, a new introductory turn-based operational wargame.

This new title is an exciting addition for turn-based strategy gamers as it features gameplay in the style of Panzer Generaland Panzer Corps, with a branching, event-filled campaign that takes you from the start of Operation Barbarossa towards the historical goals of Archangel or Astrakhan. Follow each Army Group through its initial battles, build up a core force, then decide which front will have the main focus, North, Center or South. Your decisions and outcomes determine the course of the campaign, which is designed with replayability in mind.

Germany at War: Barbarossa 1941 is more historically focused than similar games, with an emphasis on historical units and attachments and consistent modeling of unit and hex scale, but is still a fun and easy to learn wargame. For players ofPanzer Corps and Panzer General, Germany at War is a logical next step in the wargaming genre.

With 4 Campaigns, including 37 scenarios in the main campaign, 14 stand-alone scenarios and an editor with which to add new mission, multiplayer PBEM++ support and good graphics, this game is an exciting new milestone for gamers who enjoy Panzer Corps and similar games.


We are also releasing the at release v.1.0.55 update for the game to address a few issues that came up in testing the gold master version. It fixes a rare crash, adjusts the equipment for some of the divisions and adds a new cursors for different dpi settings.

Annunciato Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon

Sul sito Matrix è apparso l'annuncio per il 2014 di Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon; sarà un gioco a turni con più di 30 scenari su una campagna molto conosciuta del mondo di WK40000. Ecco la descrizione:

Slitherine have acquired the exclusive rights to Games Workshop’s “Battle for Armageddon” setting in order to create a series of amazing multiplatform, turn-based, hex-based games. Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon will make full use of Slitherine's expertise in creating compelling and challenging strategy gaming experiences. The initial game is set during the Second War of Armageddon and players will lead the Imperial forces of the Armageddon Steel Legion and Space Marines®from the Ultramarines, Blood Angels and Salamanders Chapters against Ghazghkull Thraka’s massive Ork Waaagh! invasion through over 30 scenarios, on the hostile terrain of the planet and its gigantic Hive Cities.

Il vostro voto ci aiuterà a far conoscere quella che viene universalmente riconosciuta come l'unica simulazione globale della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Infatti in un unico enorme server confluiscono H24 tutte le migliaia di giocatori che danno vita ad una Campagna che può durare mesi e si svolge nel teatro operativo della Blitzkrieg grande quanto l'Europa Occidentale in scala ½ (30.000 km2) con una notevole accuratezza di riproduzione satellitare del terreno (800 metri). Tanto per farvi capire se volete farvi tutta la mappa da una parte all'altra ... prendetevi una settimana di tempo.

I giocatori sono divisi fra Asse (Germania) ed Alleati (Francia, Inghilterra e Stati Uniti) e gli armamenti vanno da 1940 al 1944. In base al grado (si passa di grado non le kills ma obbedendo agli ordini di missione, anche se prevedono di stare a guardia di una base), ai corsi di accademia (gli Ufficiali hanno accesso ad una serie di tools che gli permettono di gestire i propri uomini), la Divisione di appartenenza eccetera si possono usare diversi armamenti e specialità fra cui fanteria, paracadutisti, corazzati, artiglieria, aerei e navi. Il sistema è molto complesso, non ci sono AI (a parte alcuni nidi di mitragliatrici posizionate a difesa di alcune installazioni) e anche solo spostarsi di soli 3 km da una base avanzata ad una città nemica può richiedere molto tempo.

A causa delle dimensioni e della massa di giocatori, per evitare lag e l'utilizzo di supercomputer, la grafica è essenziale. Il modello di danno tuttavia è estremamente complesso e si potrebbe fare un trattato. Forse l'eccessiva difficoltà ci sta uccidendo ... ed è per questo che chiediamo il vostro aiuto. Siamo vicini alla soglia che ci permetterebbe di sbarcare su Steam ... cosa che per noi è assolutamente vitale in un contesto dove ormai la massa cerca FPS (e non è il nostro caso) piuttosto che la manovra e la qualità. Se ritenete opportuno aiutare questa simulazione unica, fatelo. Grazie davvero.

Annuncio per Italian command ops wargame-club

ora per me è un periodo impossibile, ma se qualcuno vuole, mi scriva che faccio da tramite

Il gioco in multi merita molto è 10 volte meglio che in singolo

Paradox annuncia una nuova DLC per Crusader Kings 2

Pradox ha annunciato oggi il rilascio di una nuova dlc per CK2 per metà novembre a circa 5 euro. Si chiamerà Sunset Invasion e simulerà un what-if di un'invasione Azteca dell'Europa medievale.

Prime immagini di Close Combat: Panthers in the Fog

Oggi sul sito Matrix c'è stato il primo annuncio pre-release e immagini di Close Combat: Panthers in the Fog, il nuovo e ultimo gioco della serie fatto con il vecchi engine. Matrix ha infatti ormai i diritti completi e può mettersi a sviluppare la propria versione con un nuovo engine.

Almost seventeen years and fifteen releases later, the most popular real-time tactical wargame is back! Close Combat: Panthers in the Fog depicts an historical battle that closely follows the events of Operation Overlord, which was the setting of the very first release.
