Nuovo video di gameplay con Steel Armor Blaze of War
Per fare un po' di pratica con la nuova interfaccia, ho fatto un tutorial di tiro al bersaglio con il T62. Ho dovuto riprenderci la mano perchè era parecchio che non ci giocavo, ma è davvero un buon simulatore e la nuova interfaccia rende parecchio. Peccato non ci sia ancora il multiplayer. Tempo fa si diceva che Graviteam stesse lavorando ad una versione di APOS con i mezzi di SABOW, il che sarebbe davvero fantastico.

Primo video con Steel Armor Blaze of War nuova interfaccia
Ho fatto un primo video con Blaze of War con la nuova interfaccia; graficamente è molto migliorato, ma la nuova interfaccia ha portato anche qualche cambiamento nelle procedure, quindi mi tocca impararle da capo.

Rilasciata beta patch di Agosto per Steel Armor Blaze of War
Due giorni dopo il rilascio della beta patch per APOS, ecco la beta patch di agosto per SABOW che da una bella spinta al gioco, soprattutto come grafica e interfaccia:

Come per APOS, il primo link è l'aggiornamento dell'updater, il secondo l'estensione vera e propria.

Video della nuova patch di Steel Armor Blaze of War
Ecco un nuovo video che mostra alcune delle nuove features della prossima patch di Steeel Armor Blaze of War. Steel Armor usa lo stesso engine di Achtung Panzer quindi è prevedibile che verrà upgradato con la nuova interfaccia già in uso per quest'ultimo; se non ho capito male però dato che il gioco originariamente era stato sviluppato per un terzo ci sono questioni di diritti che ne hanno rallentato lo sviluppo.

Nuovo video con Steel Armor Blaze of War
Stavolta una bella azione notturna con gli M60A1 iraniani: un plotone di carri e uno di fanteria meccanizzata, parecchie perdite: 2 carri distrutti, 2 danneggiati, parecchi morti tra la fanteria, ma ho sopraffatto tre posizioni irachene, distruggendo una postazione anticarro con missili e una con cannoni senza rinculo, e preso prigionieri.

Nuovo video con Blaze of War stavolta la campagna iraniana. La missione è notturna e quindi si vede poco: ho avuto un approccio cauto, ma ho perso due carri e due veicoli blindati per colpa dei T55, alla fine mi sono trovato anche gli aerei sulla testa.

ISRAELI DEFENSE FORCE MOD per Steel Armor Blaze of War

Steel Armor Blaze of War piccola intro
Approfitto del video che ho fatto della campagna angolana di Blaze of War per introdurre un po' il gioco. Come vedete dal video l'impianto operazionale è lo stesso di Achtung Panzer. Ci sono tre campagne (iran-iran,afghanistan,angola), ognuna di queste suddivisa in operazioni. Ogni operazione viene giocata su una mappa 2d secondo un sistema che ho già illustrato per APOS. Quando avviene uno scontro, se in esso sono coinvolti unità con carri manovrabili dal giocatore (T62 or M60A1) si passa alla parte tattica altrimenti lo scontro viene autorisolto. Anche la parte tattica e la sua interfaccia sono perfettamente equivalenti a quelle di APOS ma al posto di avere una visuale a volo di uccello quando si passa al 3d si può solo avere la visuale del carro attualmente selezionato, diventando quindi un simulatore di carri a tutti gli effetti. La parte simulativa è davvero ben fatta e realistica, spiace un po' non avere la possibilità di avere una visuale a volo di uccello per godersi scene di battaglia più ampie. Pare comunque che sia in progetto un gioco in stile APOS ma con mezzi moderni.
