Histwar Napoleon in prevendita
Histwar Napoleon è in pre-vendita dal 21 Novembre e in uscita il 3 dicembre.

Ci sono varie versioni di acquisto, comunque il prezzo varia dai 50 euro ai 290 (purtroppo per il momento sembra possibile pagare solo tramite bonifico bancario).
La domanda è "ne vale la pena"? Ho già avuto modo di parlare del gioco varie volte sul Blog e la mia personalissima conclusione è "non si sa". Ad oggi, a parte la grafica, che è migliorata tantissimo, non ho la più pallida idea se il gameplay funzionerà in modo decente\sarà migliorato oppure lo stato dell'arte è ancora Histwar1 al suo attuale livello, vale a dire ancora pieno di bachi: non c'è ancora il livello brigata\divisione e far passare un ponte sembra ancora un'impresa titanica. Non esiste una gestione sensata dei corrieri e l'ultima introdotta crea solo una massa di messaggi di feedback ingestibile.
Quindi non posso che dire a chi si fa attirare dalla grafica: aspettate e leggete i posts degli utenti che lo usano e guardate cosa dicono. Il gioco è costoso non vale i soldi per il livello attuale di Histwar 1.

Rome 2 un gioco uscito incompleto?
Il gioco è uscito da un giorno e i commenti degli utenti sono devastanti. Chiariamoci nessun gioco esce perfetto e c'è sempre un'aliquota di scontenti per problemi relativi alle configurazioni delle loro macchine. Ma su metacritic il 50% esatto dei giocatori ha dato voti da 0 a 5, per un gioco da 60 euro (non di nicchia) è incredibile. Problemi grafici, di AI, di pesantezza sembrano comuni. Chiaramente è probabile che con il tempo i problemi saranno risolti, ma per allora il gioco uscirà scontato a 25 euro, e quindi chi ha pagato prezzo pieno, se ha avuto la sfortuna di incappare in questi problemi, sarà rimasto fregato.

Total War Rome 2 piano delle prime DLC

With the September 3rd release of Total War: Rome II getting ever-closer, the team at The Creative Assembly has been presumably putting the finishing touches on the game. Now, we are getting a peek at the post-launch plans, including the announcement of more free DLC coming along with the first paid DLC.
So what can we expect? Today, the Seleucid Empire was announced as a free DLC pack to be released sometime in October. That's in addition to release DLC, and the preorder DLC that have already been announced. Historically, the Seleucid Empire was established following the death of Alexander the Great, dividing that conqueror's empire in two.
The game's first paid DLC was also announced, with Culture packs on the way. The first, The Nomadic Tribes Culture pack will feature the Royal Scythians, Roxolani, and Massagetae and will go on sale in October as well.

Rilasciato Sword of the Stars II: Enhanced Edition
E' stata rilasciata dalla Paradox la versione Enhanced di Sword of the Stars II.

Paradox Interactive released today Sword of the Stars II: Enhanced Edition, which contains Lords of Winter and the first expansion End of Flesh. The Enhanced Edition comes packed with all the previous DLCs as well, such as the new avatars, new combat music, alternate voices, skins, and new badges for your warships.
Players must customize and amass their fleets, explore the galaxy, research new alient technologies, and expand your empire. Combat is waged through a mixture of real-time skirmishes and classic turn-based strategy.
Also in the Enhanced Edition is a new playable Faction: the Loa, a race of Artificial Intelligence that were once slaves now return to seek revenge. Loa ships can shape-shift into new ships for any purpose needed. Being a hardy and tough race, they can colonize on any rocky planet as well.
The full feature list in Sword of the Stars II: Enhanced Edition include:
Play as the Loa, with over 120 new ship sections and their own unique drive system – the Neutrino Pulse Gate
Over 25 additional technologies, including a new Cybernetic Tech Tree
10 new weapons and attacks to use in battle

2 new Independent Races to encounter, study and incorporate into your empire
New Random Encounters, a new Grand Menace, and new Star Maps
